Poppin’ By card – Touches of Ink Blog Hop May 2025

ABOUT MY CARD

This is the first time I’ve had a chance to play with this super cute stamp and dies set. I took the opportunity to combine today’s blog hop with a colour challenge. Here are the colours I used…

I started the process by die cutting lots of the adorable popcorn pieces from Lemon Lolly card. There are 2 dies for each of the popcorn shapes, one that cuts the outline (and can be used with the stamped images) and another that cuts lines into the shape to give it more detail. I added some Lemon Lolly ink to each piece with a small blending brush for even more detail.

Then I stamped the popcorn bucket with Basic Gray ink and then a second time with Lemon Lolly ink and die cut both pieces. I fussy cut the top of the Basic Gray bucket, to remove the grey popcorn and layered it on top of the Lemon Lolly one. I coloured the white pieces with my Pretty In Pink Stampin’ Blends. The lovely little glasses were die cut from Lemon Lolly card and my final touch for this image was to blend on some Lemon Lolly ink over the popcorn.

I added the popcorn bucket onto a piece of Pretty In Pink card that I cut with the 2-3/8″ punch and then added that to the Basic Gray layer on my card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Lemon Lolly popcorn pieces were arranged around the circle, with some of them glued to the back of the circle for extra dimension…

Finally I added my sentiments to complete the card. I hope you like it!
