ABOUT MY CARD

I’ll be honest with you, my first thought when I saw this week’s challenge colours was Hallowe’en! But that didn’t seem appropriate for March, lol. So I’ve gone with flowers and leaves instead.

Th Hearts of Elegance stamps and dies set includes these pretty flowers and leaves, as well as plenty of hearts. I stamped a flower in both Gorgeous Grape and Pumpkin Pie then cut them with the matching die. Then I stamped one of each of the leafy images with Lemon Lime Twist and die cut those too.

I used the second largest outline heart die with some Basic White but thought it needed a little bit “extra” so I embossed it with the stunning Layered Florals 3D embossing folder. Well, you can never have too many flowers on a card, can you?

My sentiment is also from the Hearts of Elegance stamp set and I used Gorgeous Grape ink for this on Basic White card that I trimmed to fit.

I was just going to add all of these pieces straight onto a card base but then I decided to add a layer of Basic White and scored at 0.5cm on all 4 sides, for an added bit of detail…

I really like the end result and I hope you do too.
