Hello! I hope you are well. One of my lovely demonstrator friends, Janice of http://jazzledazzlecraft.co.uk/, set up an “non-stage” event for demonstrators that weren’t able to attend the official Stampin’ Up! OnStage event last weekend. During her event we had to opportunity to simply chat to demonstrator friends (old or new) or to craft and chat. We had a Tic Tac Toe board to try out and that was my inspiration for this animal themed gift box…
Here’s the board we could play with and I chose the left vertical line of Stamp Your Own DSP, Animals and 3D.
I used the super cute Hearts & Hugs stamps and dies to create my box while I chatted along on zoom. It was a wonderful way to spend some crafty time! Thank you so much to Janice for facilitating this. You can thank her by checking out her YouTube channel by CLICKING HERE
I wanted to make another one, to show you what I did. But I also wanted to use the Meant To Be stamp set that’s been sitting on my desk just waiting to be inked! So I combined both to make this version in today’s video…

These are the colours I used to stamp the images on the top, all with stamps from the Meant To Be stamp set. The lid of the box is Daffodil Delight and the base is Mossy Meadow card…
I heat embossed with black powder on Daffodil Delight card to create the bee, along with the Bee Builder punch and I just love the shine on him…
MEASUREMENTS
To make the animal themed gift box in today’s video you’ll need the following supplies:
- Mossy Meadow card for the box base measuring 6″ x 6″ – scored on all 4 sides at 1-1/2″
- Daffodil Delight card for the lid measuring 5″ x 5″ – scored on all 4 sides at 1″
- Basic White card measuring 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ to stamp your own ‘DSP’
- A scrap of Daffodil Delight to heat emboss the bee’s body
- A scrap of Basic White card to heat emboss the bee’s wings
- OPTIONAL – ribbon and embellishments (I only used this on my first version with Hearts & Hugs)
The completed box measures 3″ x 3″ x 1-1/2″
