Both the Soft Sea Foam background paper and the piece with the cake on it come from the fabulous Wildflower Birthday designer series paper pack. This pack has stunning gold foiled designs, pop out elements and sheets that can be cut up to create tags and panels for so many paper crafting projects. I chopped the top off one of the tags for the centrepiece of this super simple card.
The sentiment is from the Birthday Celebration stamp set and was stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink. I then backed the DSP panel with Soft Sea Foam card.
The larger DSP piece was added to Basic White card and I couldn’t resist adding some of that gorgeous gold open weave trim before I glued these layers to my Soft Sea Foam card base. My sentiment panel was added with dimensionals…
One of the cute little cupcake die cut pieces from the paper pack fell onto my desk, so I took that as a sign that it wanted to go on the inside…
My final touch was to add some of the gold embellishments from the adhesive-backed metallic gems pack.
MEASUREMENTS
To make today’s card you’ll need the following supplies:
- Soft Sea Foam card for the base = 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5cm
- 2 x Basic White card = 10 x 14 cm – 1 for the card front and 1 for inside.
- Wildflower Birthday DSP = 9.5 x 13.5 cm
- Wildflower Birthday DSP panel trimmed down to 6 x 8.5 cm
- Soft Sea Foam card to back the DSP panel = 6.5 x 9 cm
