Hello! I hope you are well. Have you checked out the brand new Stampin’ Up! January to April 2025 mini catalogue yet? As well as lots of lovely product suites where everything coordinates and brand new bundles there are some stunning stand alone stamp sets too. I used one of them for this monochrome Tiled Techniques card…
As soon as I saw the Tiled Techniques stamp set I knew that I’d have fun coming up with lovely patterns with the stamps. I thought for my first card with this stamp set I would keep it fairly straightforward and just use one colour of ink. I made my card base with Basic White Thick card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored on the long side at 14.5 cm. Then cut a Basic White card layer measuring 10 x 14 cm. I stamped the largest stamp with Night of Navy ink at the top and bottom of this card layer.
The next step was to add in another one of the stamps to fill in more of the space and this was the result..
At first I thought I’d just add a sentiment in the gap but I wanted to use the Sweetly Scripted set and the Happy Birthday didn’t quite fit! So, I keeping with the monochromatic theme I added Night of Navy and gold ribbon to cover the gap. Then I fussy cut my sentiment and glued it onto the ribbon…
Some gold sequins were added to coordinate with the glittery ribbon. And finally I used another one of the stamps to add a bit of detail on the inside of the card too…
This is a nice flat card that’s perfect for popping in the post. Now, I can’t wait to get a bit more adventurous with this Tiled Techniques stamp set!
