Slimline Latte Love card – CCC148

Hello! I hope you are well. I have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Mexico and couldn’t wait to have an excuse to get back into my craft room. The latest Creative Colour Challenge was just the excuse I was looking for! I used this week’s 3 colours for this Slimline Latte Love card…

THE CHALLENGE

So you can join in, these are the colours for this week’s challenge over at www.creativecolourchallenges.blogspot.com

Please CLICK HERE to find out more about this challenge and to join in the fun with this week’s 3 colours.

ABOUT MY CARD

I will admit to suffering a little bit of jet lag but I really wanted to craft! I was looking at the Online Exclusives products on the Stampin’ Up! website and noticed a gorgeous slimline card made with the Latte Love bundle. That then inspired me to make my own version with this week’s challenge colours.

My card base is Misty Moonlight measuring 21 x 21 cm, scored and folded on one side at 10.5 cm. I then cut 2 pieces of Very Vanilla card each measuring 9 x 19.5 cm; one for the front and one for inside.I stamped one piece of the Very Vanilla card with Copper Clay ink to add the rings, splashes and coffee bean images. Initially I stamped with full strength ink but then also stamped with 2nd generation to give an extra colour – without breaking the rules! Lol.

The Stampin’ Up! sample card had some twine wrapped around it so I added some from the bakers twine essentials pack too. I changed up the image and sentiment from the sample to make it my own. I stamped the coffee cups with Copper Clay ink onto Misty Moonlight and Highland Heather inks and then cut them with the matching die. The coffee in the cups was stamped with Copper Clay onto Very Vanilla card.

Finally, I inked up my sentiment with Misty Moonlight and Highland Heather Stampin’ Write markers to give a kind of ombre look…

I cut the sentiment with the Labeled With Love punch and added a little bit more ink around the edge with my marker. I’m really happy with the finished result, thanks to inspiration from the Stampin’ Up! website.

Remember, you can take part in this colour challenge too. Just click here to find out more. You don’t need to have a blog to enter, you can just upload a photo of your project using this week’s colours.

I’ve listed the products I used for today’s card below. You can click any of the product links to go to that item in my shop. The price of the Spotlight On Nature bundle doesn’t reflect the current extra 10% off, but that will automatically be applied when you shop in the promotional period (ends 30 June 2024)
