Layered Florals thank you card – InspireInk Blog Hop

Today I’m taking part in the InspireInk blog hop, with a few of my talented Pootlers team mates. This month our theme is Embossingl. I have used one of my favourite embossing folders and a little bit of heat embossing for this Layered Florals thank you card…

When I used the embossing folder on my layer of Night Of Navy card I only put the top part into the folder at first. Then I turned the card round and embossed the bottom section, leaving a gap for my sentiment.

I stamped the sentiment from the Online Exclusive stamp set Sweetly Scripted, using Versamark ink. Then I added white embossing powder and heat set it.

The Layered Florals embossing folder truly is 3D, some of the flowers have lots of dimension but the smaller ones are not so prominent. To make some of the flowers pop even more I added some white ink to them with a sponge dauber. I found this gives a much better result than a blending brush.

My embossed card layer was added to a Night of Navy card layer, with a piece of Basic White card inside. My final touch was to add some white sequins…
