Hello! On Monday evening I took part in a Craft & Chatter session on Zoom with some of my fellow Stampin’ Up! UK & Ireland demonstrators. These events are such fun and it’s nice to see some of our team mates and friends, even if it is just virtually. It’s a bit of a mystery card making session as we are given the measurements of card and paper to cut in advance but that’s all. Here’s the Lovely & Sweet fun fold card that I made whilst enjoying the company of some lovely friends…
I actually didn’t do any of the prep in advance of the session. So I just had to grab the closest things to hand during it. As I’d recently used the Lovely & Sweet stamps set for a blog hop, it was still sitting on my desk and seemed perfect for the large image on the front of this fun card. And of course, Basic White card is always in reach!
I love that the end result looks like a somewhat rickety fence with that gorgeous plant growing against it. The image was coloured with Stampin’ Blends which can bleed through to the back of your card. So to prevent anyone seeing any colour on the back I cut another piece with the same die and glued it on the back of the ‘fence’. Obviously, it would’ve been easier to glue it to the coloured one and THEN add it to the card base, LOL.
MEASUREMENTS
This card was designed by our Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Development Manager for the UK and Ireland, Helen Smith. After the event she kindly supplied the following image with the full measurements…
With the benefit of hindsight I probably would have used my paper snips to do step 5, rather than my paper trimmer. I think I would have had a neater finish that way.
I really do like this style of card and will make another sometime soon.
I’d love to welcome you to my Nellies Stampers team and invite you to join in the next demonstrators’ craft & chatter session. Who knows what we’ll be making together. CLICK HERE to find out about joining my team.
