Hello! Today I’ve ticked off a technique from my ‘must try’ list along with this week’s Creative Colour Challenge. The result is this Leaf Collection celebration card…
Now isn’t that a fun bright and very different background layer?

ABOUT MY CARD
I had so much fun inking up a piece of Basic White with this week’s 3 colours and my blending brushes. Then I simply sprayed the Leaf Collection background stamp with water and then stamped it onto my inked up card. The water moves the ink around to give that blurry leaves image.
Because I enjoyed the technique so much I thought I’d record a video tutorial while I made another version…
YOUTUBE VIDEO
I’d love you to click on the image above or if you prefer you can click here to pop over to YouTube and see my second Leaf Collection celebration card. If you enjoy watching my video, I’d love you to give it a thumbs up and leave me a comment too. If you haven’t already subscribed to my channel, make sure you do so when you’re there; so you don’t miss out on future videos.
This time I added less water and instead of putting the stamp on the inked up card, I put the card on the stamp so the effect was very different…
This card features Mossy Meadow, Old Olive and Granny Apple Green inks and I also added some black splatters with a Stampin’ Blend…
My sentiment is popped up with the edge from a sheet of mini dimensionals. The final touch was to add some Iridescent Foil gems. I hope you like the end result and the fun technique.

Most of products I share in today’s video will be available to purchase in my online Stampin’ Up! shop from 1 May 2024. I’ve listed the currently available products I used for both versions of my card below. You can click any of the product links to go to that item in my shop.
