Rock Star Valentine’s card – InspireInk Blog Hop

Today I’m taking part in the first InspireInk blog hop of 2024, with a few of my talented Pootlers team mates. This month our theme is Valentine’s. My hubby is a rock music fan so I simply had to make him this Rock Star Valentine’s card…

My card base is Basic White Thick card with a layer of Real Red card and then some Rock & Roll designer series paper. I coloured just a few of the guitars on the paper and obviously had to use Real Red Stampin’ Blends for the Valentine’s theme!

My sentiment comes from the Country Bouquet stamp set but I had to do a bit of masking to split it across 2 lines. The stamp in the Rock Star set has different words inside the banner so I used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to only ink up the border. Then I stamped the Valentine’s message inside with Real Red ink. Finally, I cut the sentiment with the coordinating die from the Rock Star bundle and popped it up with dimensionals.

I thought the card needed a little bit of bling so the Real Red stars and pick got a bit of Wink of Stella, along with the coloured guitars…

The inside of the card got some more stamping and this time I just masked off the ‘Birth’ part of the happy birthday stamp and added some more of those red sparkling stars…
