My first Hills of Tuscany card

Hello! I bought the Hills of Tuscany stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! January to April 2024 mini catalogue because I like the pretty samples in the catalogue. This is the first chance I’ve had to play around with it. So here’s my first Hills of Tuscany card…

I decided that the hills should be the main focus, in honour of the stamp set name! lol I was inspired by the sample in the catalogue that uses the Heartfelt Hexagon punch but didn’t want to do a straight copy. I stamped my little scene and cut it with the punch. At that point I decided to make a kind of spotlight card with it.

I stamped more of the hills and sky on a piece of Basic White card measuring 9 x 13 cm, using Old Olive and Balmy Blue inks. Then I added a bit more detail with Garden Green ink and some of the smaller stamps. I also stamped the little dots/flowers with Cherry Cobbler ink and finally my sentiment with Shaded Spruce ink.

This stamped layer was added to a piece of Shaded Spruce card measuring 9.5 x 13.5 cm and then onto my standard Basic White Thick card base (21 x 14.5 cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5 cm).

I then added dimensionals to the back of the hexagon and lined it up as best I could on top of the stamped layer…

To help with lining the punched shape up, I added a dot of liquid glue to the dimensionals, so that I had a little bit of wiggle time!

I hope you like my first Hills of Tuscany card and will give it a try. I’m looking forward to stamping some more lovely scenes with this pretty stamp set.

I’d love to be on that warm Tuscan hillside right now! 🤣 but a cold & crisp Scotland will have to do! It’s a really pretty set ❤️

WOW, that is a really cool card! I love that with all the other stamp sets that are in that theme park. (one with the cabin, deer and snowman, the beach hut and palm trees, the bridge and gazebo). Have to add another to those stamp sets. Happy day to you!

Thank you so much Bette, I don’t normally go for this style of stamp set but I’ve definitely been converted now! So I might have to add to my collection too ❤️
