Last minute gift inspired Christmas cards…

Hello! Despite feeling like I’ve been making Christmas cards for SOOOOO long, I actually needed to make a few more last week. I wanted them to be quick and easy but still look very pretty, so I came up with these gift inspired Christmas cards…

I used the gorgeous Shining Christmas designer series paper pack, wrapped it with ribbon, added some tags and a bow and it looks just like a lovely Christmas gift!

The paper I used has a beautiful glossy sheen to it and contrasts beautifully with the broad Herringbone ribbon…

I secured the ends of the horizontal and vertical ribbons on the back of the DSP layer with Tear & Tape adhesive. I tied the bow separately and added it to the card with glue dots. The tip is to add some dots on the paper because sticking ribbon onto ribbon isn’t very secure.

I stamped the sentiment from Sparkling Snowflakes with Cherry Cobbler ink onto Basic White thick card then cut it with one of the Tailor Made Tag dies. Next I cut an extra tag with the same die, but this time using Cherry Cobbler card. I glued the top of both tags together and added dimensionals to the bottom of each tag and tucked the top under the bow.

This card design does use up a lot of ribbon, but you could use card instead, like this one…

To add a little bit of bling I put a little bow made with Simply Elegant trim onto the tags with a glue dot.
