I have had such a busy weekend, with a community group beach clean on Saturday and then a Christmas Fair on Sunday. Both of which were very successful but tiring! So, once again, this week’s Creative Colour Challenge has given me an excuse to be creative, just for fun. I’ve used this week’s colours for this Oceanfront sending hugs card…

about my CARD
Copper Clay definitely threw me a curve ball. The 2 lovely blue shades would have been perfect for snowflakes but I couldn’t figure out how to introduce Copper Clay into a pretty snow scene. So instead, I though of a seascape with rocks in the foreground. I hope you agree that this was a decent solution to a tricky colour combination.
The stamps for the scene are all from Oceanfront. This stamp set has been around for quite a while now, but is still one of my favourites for “thinking of you” types of cards. It creates such a comforting scene, however you use it.
As Oceanfront doesn’t include any sentiments, I turned to Phrases For All as I knew I wanted something small and I think the sending hugs one is perfect for this card…
My card base is Thick Basic White then I have a layer of Pool Part and finally my stamped Basic White piece. I popped the sentiment up with dimensionals and finished the card with some Pool Party Glossy Dots.
I hope you like my Oceanfront sending hugs card with this week’s colours. Why don’t you see what you can make with these colours and join in the fun?
