about my card
I used the Sending Smiles stamp set and dies to create the flower and sentiment on this clean and crisp card.
To add some texture I used the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder to emboss the white layer before adding it to my Granny Apple Green card base. The sentiment wad die cut from Daffodil Delight and Azure Afternoon card. I stamped the flower and stem and cut them with the corresponding dies.
I cut a 2-3/8″ circle from vellum with a punch and then glued the flower and stem onto it. The middle of the layer sentiment was glued on top of the stem. I turned the whole ensemble over and added mini dimensionals to the back of the vellum where the flower and leaves are, along with the sentiment. So the whole arrangement is lifted off the embossed card layer…
I stamped the second sentiment with Azure Afternoon ink and cut it with another die from the Sending set. This was popped up with dimensionals too. To add some bling, I adhered some Glossy Dots in Daffodil Delight.
Finally I stamped the flower again, on the inside of the card…
measurements
My card base is Granny Apple Green card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 14.5 cm. My embossed Basic White card layer measures 10 x 14 cm to give a neat little border. You’ll need another white card piece the same side for your insert.
You’ll also need a pieces of Daffodil Delight and Azure Afternoon card measuring approx. 10 x 4 cm to die cut the 2 pieces of the sentiment. You need a piece of vellum for the 2-3/8″ circle punch and some scraps to stamp and die cut the flower.
I hope you like my card with this week’s colours. Why don’t you see what you can make with these colours and join in the fun?
