Here in Scotland our high school kids have just received their exam results. As a result of a lovely girl’s hard work, I have the perfect excuse to make a pretty Petal Park congrats card. I also created this card for the latest Creative Colour Challenge 101.
THE CHALLENGE

I used the outline stamps from Petal Park to stamp the leaves with Shaded Spruce onto a Basic White card layer. I then stamped lots of the flower outline stamps onto scraps of Basic White card with Calypso Coral ink. Afterwards, I cut them out with the Petal Park Builder punch.
There is a second stamp in the set that you can use to colour the flowers. I decided to go for a softer look and used Wink Of Stella to bleed some of the stamped ink into the petals. It also adds lots of lovely subtle sparkle too!
Some of the flowers are glued on the card layer and some have been popped up with dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Phrases For All stamp set and I used Early Espresso ink.
I decided to stamp some extra dots to the card layer with both Early Espresso and Shaded Spruce inks. Finally, to give even more sparkle, I added Calypso Coral Iridescent Pastel gems.
Then I added an extra sentiment from Phrases For All and some more Petal Park flowers to the inside of my card.
I hope you like what I created with this week’s colours. Why don’t you see what you can make with these colours and join in the fun?
