Creative Colour Challenge 99 – Botanical Layers card

I joined in with a Pootles team virtual get together on Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately I couldn’t join in on the Sunday, so I’m looking forward to catching up with the Zoom recording. The 2 days I did join in were such fun!

We had some crafty discussions, some card and box making demonstrations and some live crafting, where we made poor Sam Donald (aka Pootles) create a gift bag and a tag with a rainbow striped singing turtle!!

Sam also demonstrated stamping and stepping up some note cards & envelopes. She used a stamp set and punch that I didn’t have. So during the craft along part, I used Botanical Layers stamp set but didn’t use any greens. That was my inspiration for this card for the Creative Colour Challenges…

I stuck with #simplestamping and stamped directly onto my Basic White Thick card base (29 x 10.5 cm, scored & folded at 14.5 cm). The stamps are all from Botanical Layers. I also added a little bit extra detail by splashing ink onto the card with the Lemon Lime Twist Light Stampin’ Blend…

I felt it also needed a little bit of bling and remembered that there are Pool Party embellishments in the Glossy Dots assortment.
