Countryside Inn gift box for a Yankee candle

Hello, I hope you are well.

I picked up a couple of small Yankee candles recently as I thought they’d make nice little gifts. But of course I had to make pretty boxes for them.

Here’s the first box I made with Night Of Navy and Basic White card, decorated with Countryside Inn designer series paper…

Unfortunately, I hadn’t realised that the candle is wider at the top than the bottom so I adjusted my measurements when I made the next box in my video.

To make this box in the video that ends up being 2-1/4” x 2-1/4” x 2-1/4”you’ll need the following supplies:

• Misty Moonlight card for the base measuring 9-1/2″ x 4-1/2”
  • score on the short side at 2-1/4”
  • score on the long side at 2-1/4”, 4-1/2”, 6-3/4” and 9”
• Basic White Thick card for lid measuring 4-5/16” x 4-5/16”
  • score on all 4 sides at 1”
• Countryside Inn designer series paper trimmed to the following sizes:
  • 1 piece = 1-7/8” x 1-7/8”
  • 4 pieces = 1-7/8″ x 5/8”
• Boho Blue card measuring
  • 1 piece = 2” x 2”
  • 4 pieces =2″ x 3/4”
• a scrap of Basic White card to stamp the sentiment

As I mentioned in the video my box only needed to be 1-3/4” high and not the 2-1/4” I made it. To make this shorter size change the Misty Moonlight card to measure 9-1/2” x 4”. All the score lines and other measurements don’t need to be adjusted.
