Hello! I hope you are well.
I don’t normally go for the cute suites in the Stampin’ Up! catalogue but there’s just something about the Zoo Crew that I couldn’t resist!! And you can probably imagine my delight when I discovered that some of the Zany Zoo dies can be used to cut out images from the designer series paper pack!!
I’ve used one such image for this clean and simple birthday card…
As a result, I didn’t need to do any colouring! I simply die cut this cute critter from the paper and popped him onto my card layer with dimensionals. I thought he’d look even cuter with a balloon tied to his tail so I die cut one from Lemon Lime Twist card. I unravelled some black twine and just used 1 strand of it to wrap one end around the tail and the other end to the balloon.
I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment with Lemon Lime Twist ink and then lots of the musical notes around it with Memento black ink before cutting it with the flag die from the Zany Zoo set. This was popped up with dimensionals too.
My card base is Basic White Thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I added a layer of Lemon Lime Twist card measuring 10 x 14 cm and then my Basic White layer measuring 9.5 x 13.5 cm.
To finish the card off I stamped some confetti on the inside, again with Lemon Lime Twist ink…
I hope you like today’s card and will perhaps give it a try too.
