The fabulous Framed Florets stamps and dies are retiring soon and I must confess that I hadn’t even used the die that cuts that oval of cute little hearts! I’ve now remedied that situation for this week’s challenge card…
I really like the combination of Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron and I’m sad that Mint Macaron is retiring, but delighted that Crumb Cake is a keeper!
My card base is Crumb Cake then I’ve got a layer of Mint Macaron card. I cut a smaller layer of Crumb Cake card and cut it with 2 of the Framed Florets dies to create the hearts cut outs and the central oval. I stamped the oval with Crumb Cake ink and a stamp from Framed Florets.
I stamped one of the floral stamps from the set with memento black ink onto Basic White card then coloured it with Mint Macaron and Real Red Stampin’ Blends then die cut it. I coloured between and around the flowers and leaves with Crumb Cake Dark Stampin’ Blend so I didn’t have the stark white on my die cut piece. I used another one of the dies with Mint Macaron card to cut that lovely sprig too.
The sentiment oval and the flowers were popped up with dimensionals…
My final touch was to add some of the retiring Heart Pearls.
