Hello everyone.
Today I’d like to share with you a 30th birthday card that I recently made for a friend…
A milestone birthday always deserves a special card and this one is a shaker! I’ve also used a larger range of products on this card than normal to get the look I wanted.
The card base is 5-3/4″ square and I cut a second panel to measure 5-1/2″ square. I used one of my layering circle dies to cut an aperture in the middle of the panel then added a piece of window sheet to the back of it. I used 2 of the scalloped circle dies to create the frame from silver foil sheet and also cut the numbers at the same time with dies from the Alphabet A La Mode set.
All those gorgeous flowers and leaves are from the Petal Park stamp set and punch. I used Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron ink. I also stamped the ‘splatters’ with Blushing Bride ink on the middle of the card base and diagonal corners of the layer panel. I used a stamp from Irresistible Blooms for this as the one in Petal Park was a little too small.
The sentiment is from Art Gallery and was stamped with Versamark and heat embossing with silver powder. I cut this with the coordinating die from Floral Gallery.
To create the shaker part I put some foam adhesive strip around the circle on the panel layer to make sure the Sparkle & Shine sequins couldn’t escape. I also added foam adhesive strips around the edges of the panel to adhere it to the card base.
I placed the sequins in the centre of the card base and then placed the panel on top. The final touch was to add some of the silver gems from the Festive Pearls pack.
