I’ve used an old favourite stamp set, Art Gallery, for this week’s challenge…
The large flower in the Art Gallery set is a 2 step stamp so I stamped the first one with Flirty Flamingo and then the next one with Cajun Craze. This is a much better combination that I thought it might be and that’s why I love these challenges!! I’d never have used these 2 colours together without this challenge. The stem and leaves are one large stamp but I didn’t want it to dominate the layer so I only stamped part of it onto the card; using Evening Evergreen ink.
I stamped the sentiment with Flirty Flamingo ink and decided that the white was a bit too stark so splattered it with my Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Write marker. This gives a finer spray that you get with Stampin’ Blends…
The final touch was some Evening Evergreen opal rounds.
My card base is Basic White thick card measuring 14.5 x 21 cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. My Evening Evergreen layer is 9.5 x 13.5 cm and my stamped layer is 9 x 13cm.
