Hello!
I noticed yesterday that some leaves are starting to change into their autumn colours so I thought I’d replicate them for a card with the Cottage Wreaths stamp set and Country Wreaths dies…
To create my wreath and leaves I sprayed a piece of Fluid 100 watercolor paper with water then added some Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Old Olive inks to the paper. I added the ink to clear blocks and used Water Painters to move it to and around the paper – such fun!
I gave it a quick blast with my heat tool to dry it, as I have no patience lol!
Once dry I cut it with 2 of the Cottage Wreath dies. I cut some of the little leaves from the remaining paper, and the centres of the wreath die cuts – there was not a scrap wasted.
I also stamped and die cut some of those cute acorns with Soft Suede ink and die cut that fabulous ribbon from Crushed Curry card.
My card base is Basic White Thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I added a layer of Crushed Curry card measuring 10 x 14 cm and a piece of Basic White measuring 9.5 x 13.5 cm that I embossed with the Fern 3D folder…
I glued the 2 wreath die cuts together and teased out the pieces so it has lots of lovely depth and dimension on the card.
The final touch was to stamp the hello sentiment with Cherry Cobbler ink on Basic White card and trim it to fit. I matted it with Crushed Curry card and added it to my completed card.
