Creative Colour Challenges 49 – lots of Christmas sparkle!

Hello, I hope you are well.

I was absolutely delighted to learn that I won last week’s Creative Colour Challenge and celebrated by getting creative for this week’s challenge with these 3 colours…

Please CLICK HERE to see the fabulous card that Victoria has created with these colours and hopefully you will join in the fun too.

I bought the Very Best Occasions stamp set because I absolutely love the sentiment I used on this card…

A little less stress at Christmas sounds like a wonderful idea to me! Lol. And you can always add a little more sparkle at any time of year.

The sparkle part of the sentiment inspired me to play with the Shimmery White embossing paste. I made my own stencil for the paste with one of the Split Card Textures dies and a piece of card I had from a pack of DSP. I added the paste to a piece of Balmy Blue card measuring 10 x 14 cm.

I made my usual card base of Basic White Thick card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored & folded at 14.5 cm and added the blue layer.

I stamped the pine cones and berries from the Christmas Season stamp set that you’ll find in the annual catalogue. To get the lighter shade for the pine cones I stamped off onto paper before I stamped on my card. I also blending some Early Espresso ink over my 2 layer stamped pine cones. I cut these pieces with the corresponding Seasonal Label dies.

I used Stampin’ Write Markers to add ink to my sentiment and cut this with one of the Seasonal Label dies too. I added the sentiment label with dimensionals and tucked the large pine cones under it. I added dimensionals to the top parts of the smaller pine cone and the berries too…

I hope you like this sparkling card as much as I do. Why don’t you see what you can make with these colours and join in the fun?
