The Best Remedy Card Kit – tips and alternatives

Hello!

I love a card making kit from Stampin’ Up! every now and again. Sometimes I struggle to feel creative but still want to craft and a kit is perfect for that; you don’t really need to think about it, you can just follow the instructions and often that kick starts my crafting mojo.

When I saw the stamp set that comes with The Best Remedy card kit I thought it was too cute to resist! I’ve got a video to show you what’s in the kit and to show you the cards I made with the contents plus a couple of suggestions to make the most of the kit. I’d love for you to click on the image below to take a look…

I started off by making these 3 cards following the instructions included in the kit…

From doing this I had a couple of suggestions for you all

  • I preferred using a wet glue instead of the glue dots from the kit – you have a bit more wiggle time and you won’t end up with those tiny backings all over the place! Lol
  • A Simply Shammy is a great addition to your craft room to keep your stamps clean and ready for the next time you need them. This is especially true if you don’t have many clear stamping blocks.

I then simply mixed up the elements from the kit to come up with 3 alternative cards…

And then I got a bit more creative with the final 3 cards from the kit and actually used some Basic White Thick card from my stash to turn them into these 4 cards…

Here’s a better look at the one I stamped and coloured…

I had finished the kit but didn’t want to stop there so I did a bit of #simplestamping with some Note Cards & Envelopes…

I think I might put a voucher for our local ice cream parlour in the ice cream note card and gift it to someone having a tough time. You could of course colour in the skunk one but I thought it still looked cute just stamped.

Finally, I team up one of the sentiment stamps from the kit with some paper from the freebie Sale-A-Bration Rings Of Love designer series paper pack to create this card…

I had so much fun with this kit and I’ve still got the stamp set to play with forever more. I reckon that’s great value for just £22, don’t you?

You can shop for this kit, with me as your demonstrator, by clicking on the following image…
