I decided to use the cute Sweet Talk designer series paper for my card – well actually my 2 cards!
I reckoned that there were 2 ways to cut my papers for this sketch:
- to add a full layer of one pattern plus a square of another pattern cut diagonally into 2 triangles
- cut 2 full layers and chop the corners of both and mix and match the pieces on 2 card bases
Obviously, I chose option 2!
My card bases are 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm. I cut 2 pieces of Sweet Talk DSP to each measure 10 x 14 cm. I then marked one of them at 7.5 cm from the top left towards the right and then from the top left corner down the left side at 7.5 cm. I layered both pieces together and cut them between those 2 marks. I now have 2 triangles and needed to turn my paper 180 degrees and repeat the process to get the next 2 triangles.
I added the large piece of DSP to my card base first and then glued on the 2 triangles from the other design.
I stamped the sentiments from Artfully Layered and cut them with the Tailor Made Tags, added some ribbon and popped them up on the centre sections of my cards…
I fussy cut some of those cute hearts from the designer series paper and added some red rhinestones to finish off each card…
This paper pack is so bright and fun and isn’t just for Valentines!
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s cards and will give this sketch challenge a try too.
