Here’s this week’s colour selection on Vicky Lou Design’s Creative Colour Challenges…

Last week’s challenge got me into a vintage vibe and this has continued with this week’s challenge…
My card base is Basic White Thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I then added a layer of Crumb Cake card measuring 10 x 14 cm and cut a piece of Basic White to measure 9.5 x 13.5 cm and a further piece of Crumb Cake measuring 2.5 x 9.5 cm.
I stamped the fern images from Daisy Lane with Just Jade ink in full strength ink and then again without adding any further ink at the top and bottom of the white card. I then distressed this piece by splashing on diluted Crumb Cake and Blushing Bride inks. I wasn’t happy with the result so used a stamp from Color & Contour to add in more ‘splashes’. Finally, I added some more Crumb Cake ink around this layer with a sponge dauber.
I stamped the zig zag stitching to the Crumb Cake card using Crumb Cake ink and added a little more ink with the same sponge dauber. I then embossed this piece with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.
I stamped the Daisy Lane larger daisy 3 times with Blushing Bride ink, cut them with the Daisy Punch then glued them together and on top of the card.
My sentiment is also from Daisy Lane and I stamped it in Just Jade and Blushing Bride, cut them both down and added them to my card. As the sentiment mentions shine, I felt I needed to add some Wink Of Stella to the daisy and splash some all over the card. I added a bit more shine with some Elegant Faceted Gems…
Finally, I stamped a few extra details to the inside of the card too…
I really enjoyed using an old favourite stamp set and punch for this card!
