Creative Colour Challenges 17 – Flowering Rain Boots book mark

My best friend gave me a book as a Christmas gift so I needed a book mark to keep my place and thought I’d make myself one using these lovely colours…

I’ve used a new stamp set called Flowering Rain Boots that will be available from 4 January 2022 in the new mini catalogue.

I stamped the flowers onto a sticky note and fussy cut around the bottom part so I could use it as a mask. I stamped the flowers with Calypso Coral ink onto Basic White card and then put my sticky note mask on top before I stamped the plant pot with Crumb Cake ink. I stamped my sentiment with Coastal Cabana ink. I then decided that the flowers needed a bit of bling so coloured them with a little bit of Calypso Coral ink picked up with my Wink Of Stella brush.

My Basic White card measures 1-7/8″ x 5-3/4″ and I added this to a piece of Coastal Cabana card measuring 2-1/8′ x 6″. I punched a hole at the top using the Detailed Trio Punch, threaded 4 pieces of crinkled seam binding ribbon through the hole and tied them in a knot.

I hope you like my book mark, I’m off to put it to very good use!
