Hello!
Recently Stampin’ Up! shared the idea of colouring the Be Dazzling speciality designer series paper on social media and I decided to give it a try! It was a little bit messy but a lot of fun.
This paper is free with a qualifying spend of £45 or more during Sale-A-Bration. To colour it I used an ink refill, diluted with rubbing alcohol and sprayed with a Stampin’ Spritzer and here’s the resulting card…
Now, I need to confess that I didn’t look for any instructions for this technique, I just grabbed my Real Red ink refill and added a few drops to my alcohol solution. Clearly I didn’t get the combination correct and after spraying it didn’t look anything like Real Red but it did look a lot like Flirty Flamingo! You might have noticed that I actually sprayed the top section a second time so it gives a kind of ombre look.
My card base is Flirty Flamingo and I used the same colour ink for my sentiment and to colour the flower. These stamps are from the Color & Contour set and I cut them with the coordinating Scalloped Contour dies. These products can be purchased separately but if you buy them together as a bundle you’ll save yourself 10%; so I’ve shown both options in the product list below.
I added a bow with the Flirty Flamingo Metallic Ribbon and a few Gilded Gems for even more sparkle!
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing today’s dazzling card. If you were to purchase the bundle I used for this card by 30 September 2021, you’d also earn the Be Dazzling paper for FREE!
