Hello, I hope you are well.
Today’s card is bigger than my normal card at 5″ x 7″ folded so that I could show off more of the really pretty paper…
The paper I used is in the new May 2021 to April 2022 Annual Catalogue and is called Pansy Petals. Each sheet is 12″ x 12″ and there are 12 sheets in the pack, 2 each of 6 double sided designs so there’s plenty of choice. I couldn’t really choose just one design, so I’ve actually used 3 on this card!
I used the Pale Papaya gingham style and then the pretty little flowers design on top of that. I fussy cut the pansies from another sheet of paper in the pack. There is a stamp and die set to coordinate with this paper but this card shows that you can still get pretty cards with just the paper pack.
My happy birthday sentiment is from the Happiest Of Birthday’s stamp set, I just didn’t stamp the “little bit late” part of the stamp by using some masking tape. The friend sentiment is from Daisy Lane and I used Fresh Freesia ink to tie in with the paper. I used Polished Pink for the happy birthday part.
The sentiment was cut with one of the Scalloped Contours dies – you’re going to see me using these a lot!!
My final touches were a Pale Papaya bow and some Pastel Pearls.
