Hello, I hope you are well.
Today I’ve got 2 cards to share with you that both use products from the Sand & Sea suite that features in the Stampin’ Up! January to June 2021 mini catalogue…
This is the first time I’ve used the super shiny Pearlescent Speciality Paper from the suite and it certainly won’t be the last because it is simply gorgeous!
Initially I cut a piece of the pearlescent paper to measure 10 x 14 cm and embossed it with the Seashells 3D embossing folder. I then decided that I should cut it in half on the short side so that I could get 2 cards from it. I combined it with one of the designs from the Sand & Sea designer series paper pack. I cut 2 pieces of the paper to each measure 10 x 14 cm to add to my card bases.
I couldn’t decide whether to use So Saffron or Blushing Bride for my card bases so I made one of each of them using card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm – they both work so well with this particular paper design.
I used the stamps and dies from the Friends Are Like Seashells bundle for all of the sentiments and shells. To keep with the shimmer and shine theme I did all of my stamping onto Shimmery White card, using a combination of Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Soft Sea Foam and Sahara Sand inks…
I added some loops of Linen Thread to the portrait card and some pieces of the Fine Art Floral ribbon for the landscape one, distressing the ends for both of them…
And of course I just had to add some of the Opal Rounds to both of the cards!
I then went out for a walk along a local beach!!
I hope you’ve enjoyed these two cards today. I’ve listed the products I’ve used for them below and you can click on any of the products to start shopping in my online Stampin’ Up! store.
