Hello.
Today’s card features Stampin’ Up!’s Dragonfly Garden bundle. This includes the Dragonfly Garden stamp set and the coordinating Dragonfly punch…
Isn’t this such a pretty scene? On a cold wintery day it’s nice that a card can transport me to sunnier days with wild flowers and dragonflies.
My card base is Whisper White Thick card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm; scored and folded on the long side at 14.5 cm. I added a layer of Bermuda Bay card measuring 10 x 14 cm and cut a piece of Whisper White card for stamping that measures 9.5 x 13.5 cm.
I stamped the flowers with Night of Navy ink a number of times, with full strength and second generation inks.
The large dragonfly was stamped with Versamark onto Vellum, I added White Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it. I then cut it with the Dragonfly punch. I used my Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point markers to add colour to the back of the vellum. This gives a nice subtle colouring to the wings and body. I also added some Wink of Stella for some shimmer.
The smaller dragonflies are also punched from vellum, but this time I coloured it with Bermuda Bay ink and one of my blending brushes.
I stamped my sentiment with Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White card and cut it with the Timeless Label punch. I cut another label from Bermuda Bay card, cut it in half lengthwise and added it to the back of the stamped one. I added some loops of white twine and then added the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut a strip from the side of my sheet of dimensionals and used this along the body of the large dragonfly so that it is raised from the card too…
