Hello everyone.
Today I want to show you another one of the fabulous projects I made during the #pinkiesretreat2020 a few weeks ago. This one was designed by Kim Price…
You can see Kim’s original by clicking here
I loved making this version so much that I immediately ordered some extra polystyrene rings so that I could make more of them.
This is my Christmas one using the awesome Snowflake Splendour designer series paper…
The ring is 17cm in diameter and I used strips of DSP that 11.5 cm (approx 4-1/2″) in length that varied in width up to 1.5 cm (approx 3/8″). I don’t honestly know how many I used but it was a lot and got rid of rather a lot of my scraps – what a bonus!
I applied short pieces of Tear & Tape all over the wreath and only took the backing off when I needed to. I also used multipurpose glue to adhere the ends of my strips on the back. You just need to make sure you overlap your strips slightly and only work your way around in one direction.
Once I covered the wreath I die cut snowflakes using the So Many Snowflakes dies and Whisper White card, Balmy Blue Glimmer paper and Silver Foil. I added Blue adhesive-backed gems to the centre of the 2 big clusters of snowflakes.
I stamped my sentiment from the Snowman Season stamp set with Versamark ink onto Whisper White card, added Silver Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it. I cut this and some more glimmer paper with my Layering Circles dies. I added the sentiment to the wreath with Stampin’ Dimensionals…
I used some of the Snowflake Splendour ribbon to make a loop to hang the wreath, I simply stapled the ends on the back. I also decided to add a bow made with the stunning Metallic Mesh ribbon and adhered that with mini glue dots….
If you look really closely you might also spot that I added a few adhesive backed snowflakes too.
We’ve been getting some work done in our home recently so I don’t have any Christmas decorations up yet, except this lovely wreath in my craft room. It will be moved to a more prominent position as soon as I can!
I’ve listed the Stampin’ Up! products I used for my Christmas wreath below. You can click on any of the links to visit my online shop at any time.
