Hello. I hope you are well.
When I’m making cards for special occasions and for the wonderful people in my life I have a tendency to get carried away with the number of stamp sets and dies that I use and this card is no exception to that rule…
I used the Arrange A Wreath bundle to start off with. I cut the gold foil and Shaded Spruce card with the Wreath Builder dies and heat embossed the Merry Christmas from the Arrange A Wreath stamp set in gold. I cut the sentiment with my 2″ circle punch.
The little robins are the birds in the Quite Curvy bundle. I stamped them with Early Espresso ink and coloured them with my Stampin’ Blends. I added the red breast, which is actually more orange in real life, by first adding Poppy Parade light and then going over it with Pumpkin Pie dark. I used Soft Suede light and Smoky Slate light blends to colour the rest. They were then cut with the coordinating dies from the bundle.
As I wanted my card to be a little bit bigger than my standard I used one of the Wonder of the Season memories and more cards and envelopes. I love the foiling on these so turned the card base inside out so the foil border is on the inside – this an idea I got from a lady who watched a recent Facebook live I did.
I added a piece of the ‘Tis the Season designer series paper that measured 4″ x 6″ to my card base front. I then cut a piece of Whisper White card to measure 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ and embossed it with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder. I glued this to the card base then arranged the wreath on top. The robins and the centre circle were popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals…
Finally I used the Family Party stamp set for the bottom sentiment that was also heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss powder. I cut this with a die from Stitched So Sweetly and cut a larger one from Gold Foil sheet to back it.
I love the combination of these stamps and dies to make this special card. I hope you do too.
