Hello everyone, I hope you are well.
I love scented candles and I know most of my friends do too, so I like to gift them as well. Today I have a super simple way to dress up a couple of votive candles ready to gift to a loved one…
I’ve used the pretty Mosaic Gusseted Cellophane bags to pop my white and green candles inside. I folded down the top of the bag and stapled it so it wouldn’t pop open again.
To coordinate I decided to use some Forever Greenery designer series paper and cut it with one of the Celebration Labels dies. I used a larger die from the set to cut some Whisper White card then glued the two together. I scored this in the middle and then used my Classic Label punch to create the handle. I then added this to the top of my bag and secured it with some mini glue dots. I wrapped some Silver Metallic Edged ribbon around it and that helps to keep it closed.
I love the shape of these Celebration Label dies and the stitched detail around the edges.
I stamped my sentiment from Fancy Phrases in Shaded Spruce ink onto Whisper White card and cut it with the Story Label punch. I also cut a label from Old Olive card , cut it in half and added it to the ends of the stamped one. I added this to the bag topper with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the ribbon. Finally I added some of the green gems from the Holiday Rhinestones set…
This was so easy to do and I can imagine it would be a really nice way to gift some Christmas candles too; again coordinating your paper with the colour of the candles.
