The Stampin’ Up! Flowers for every season designer series paper (DSP) pack is very well named. It really does have designs with flowers to fit every season and occasion. Today I’m using the design with poinsettias for this Christmas card…
I chose to use a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas set. It’s not always appropriate to wish someone a happy or merry Christmas and the ‘Thinking of you at Christmas’ is perfect for those times.
My card base is Whisper White Thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm.
I cut a piece of Just Jade card to measure 10 x 14 cm and a piece of Whisper White to measure 9.5 x 13.5 cm. I embossed the white piece with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and added it to the Just Jade piece.
I cut pieces of the DSP to each measure 12 x 3 cm, 9 x 2 cm and 6 x 6 cm. I cut the ends of the 9 x 2 cm piece with the Banners Pick A Punch.
I stamped the sentiment with Just Jade ink onto Whisper White card and cut it with the second smallest square die from the Stitched Shapes set.
Before adding these layers onto my card base I added some of the lovely Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon and tied it in a bow…
I love the combination of the stitching, the textile background and the crinkled ribbon for adding a bit more interest to quite an understated card.
