Hello and thank you for visiting.

Yesterday I took part in the Pootlers team blog hop showcasing new products from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue with this card and tea bag holder…

If you missed the blog hop please click here to take a look. As promised, I now want to share with you how I created the tea bag backpack.

Here’s what you will need:

  • Two pieces of card measuring 3″ x 3-1/4″ for the front and back of the holder
  • Two pieces of card measuring 6″ x 3-1/4″ for the sides – score the long side at every 1/2″
  • A piece of card for the centre of the concertina that measures 2″ x 2-3/4”
  • A piece of card for the cover measuring 3-1/8″ x 10″, scored on the long side at 3-1/4″, 4-3/4″, 8″ and 8-3/4”
  • Two pieces of card for the straps that measure 1/2″ x 6″, score on the long side at 1/2″
  • A piece of card for the horizontal part of the closure that measures 3/4″ x 2-1/4″ – punch each end with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch
  • A piece of card for the vertical part of the closure that measures 1″ x 2-1/2″ – punch one end with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch
  • Two pieces of the In Good Taste designer series paper (DSP) for the front and back that measure 2-7/8″ x 3″
  • A piece of DSP for the top of the cover measuring 2-7/8″ x 1/2″
  • A piece of DSP for the top front of the cover measuring 2-7/8″ x 1″
  • Two pieces of DSP for the straps that measure 3/8″ x 5-3/4″
  • A piece of DSP for the horizontal closure measuring 1/2″ x 2″ – punch both ends
  • A piece of DSP for the vertical closure measuring 3/4″ x 2-1/8″ – punch one end

Please check out my YouTube video to see how to assemble these parts but honestly it’s easier than I make it look, lol …

Here’s a photo of my original design along with the one I made in the video…
