Fun Fold Friday – Father’s Day card

Hello everyone.

I’m really enjoying making a fun fold card for my Friday blog posts. This week’s diagonal fold card is one that doesn’t use up more card or paper than a normal card, especially when you can make 2 at the same time…

For the Father’s Day card I’ve used an image from the A Good Man stamp set, coloured with Stampin’ Blends and cut with Stitched Nested Labels Dies. The sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and was cut with the Classic Label Punch and I added a second label cut in half to extend the ends. Finally I added some of the In Color Enamel dots

To make the card base you start with a piece of card that measures 21 x 29 cm and score the long side at 14.5 cm and the short side at 10.5 cm and then cut it on the diagonal. This gives you 2 card bases so I also made this second card…

I’ve used Misty Moonlight card, which is one of the new 2020-2022 In Colors for my card base and added coordinating paper from the In Colour 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack. I cut 2 pieces of the paper to measure 10 x 14 cm each and cut them on the diagonal to mix and match on my card fronts.

For the second card I stamped the sentiment from the So Sentimental stamp set with Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White card and cut it with one of the Layering Squares dies. I backed this with a larger scalloped die cut from Night of Navy card and added some gems from the Holiday Rhinestones pack.

I added Whisper White card to the inside of each card that measures 10 x 14cm stamped with appropriate sentiments from the sets I’d already used.
