I made a discovery recently. I realised that it wasn’t the lack of time that prevented me from having a spotless house! We’ve been in ‘lockdown’ at home for weeks and that pile of ironing hasn’t really reduced. The more time I have the more I want to craft…
In these strange times it is comforting to be creative, it’s something we have control over and it’s fun too! Those are my excuses and I’m sticking to them, lol.
Who’s with me?
To make this card I used Whisper White Thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I then added a piece of Follow Your Art designer series paper (DSP) measuring 10 x 14 cm and another piece measuring 4 x 14 cm.
I stamped the sentiment (or my life motto!) with Coastal Cabana ink onto Whisper White card and cut it with a 2″ circle punch. The stamp comes from the Crafting Forever stamp set. I backed the stamped circle with more Follow Your Art DSP cut with the Starburst punch.
I also stamped the peg & twine from the Crafting Forever stamp set with Stazon ink and coloured it with Stampin’ Blends then fussy cut it. I added this to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I die cut the lacy trim and the button from scraps of Follow Your Art DSP. I glued the trim to my card and popped the button up with Stampin’ Dimensionals too. The dies come from the Arts & Crafts set.
The felt shapes and the little paperclip are all from the Follow Your Art Embellishment box. And finally I added some Glitter Enamel Shapes.
So, if you’re looking for an excuse to ignore the housework and craft instead then feel free to blame me!
