You’re in my thoughts and in my heart

Hello everyone.

Today I have a quick and simple card with one of the most beautiful sentiments….

I know there are lots of cards and stamps out there with “you’re in my thoughts and prayers” but if you’re not religious this is a beautiful alternative. I think it’s perfect!

I love the combination of Smoky Slate and Blushing Bride and I hope you do too. I made my card base with Blushing Bride card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 14.5 cm to create a portrait tent fold.

I added a piece of Smoky Slate card measuring 10 x 14 cm and then cut a piece of Whisper White to measure 9 x 13 cm ready for stamping.

I stamped the large heart from the Modern Heart stamp set with Smoky Slate ink and added the watercolour look stamp with Blushing Bride ink. I also used Blushing Bride ink for the smaller hearts with full strength nearer the large heart then fading out with second and third generation towards the edges. I simply didn’t re-ink each time I stamped unless it was near the large heart. Most of the tiny hearts were full strength though.

I stamped that beautiful sentiment using Smoky Slate ink onto Whisper White card and cut it with one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies. The die that was perfect for the length was too wide, so I cut it twice to reduce the width. I added this to my card so that part of it is in the large stamp, it just seemed appropriate.
