Hello.
The lovely Tricia of www.smithscraftycreations.com set a technique challenge instead of a sketch challenge this week; in her Facebook group “Crafty Stamping Club – Smiths Crafty Creations”
I’ve never really done anything like this before but thought I should give it a go and here’s my result…
I have used Pineapple Punch, Lovely Lipstick, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy inks blended to mimic the Northern Lights on Whisper White card. I used my Old Olive ink pad straight onto the bottom of the card.
I didn’t like the harsh line between the ground and sky so I ran a damp aqua painter along the line to soften it.
I stamped the tree from Rooted in Nature stamp set in Memento black ink 3 times and added some stars to the sky using a white gel pen.
The sentiment is also from Rooted In Nature and was stamped using Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White card and cut into the 3 separate words.
I added my design to a piece of Night of Navy card and then onto my Whisper White card base.
I’m fairly happy with my first attempt and although this is pretty far removed from my normal style of cards I think I will give it another go sometime soon. It was fun to get inky fingers!
I hope you like the result too. Why not give it a go and join in Tricia’s challenge? The more the merrier. You don’t need to use Stampin’ Up! products to take part.
I’ve listed the Stampin’ Up! products I used below. You can click on the links to visit my online shop to purchase any of them.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Happy crafting,
