Wrapped Hershey Chocolate Bars

Hello and thanks for joining me.

I have always been a little bit jealous of American paper crafters who wrap the cute Hershey’s Nuggets with beautiful Stampin’ Up! designer series paper. Many of them sell lots of them at craft fairs and they always look so pretty. However, we don’t get them here in the UK and that’s probably because we prefer our chocolate to be rather sweeter.

We do however get these mini Hershey’s cookies ‘n’ creme bar which are very sweet…

So I decided that I’d see what these look like when wrapped up and chose the Wrapped In Plaid speciality designer series paper…

I cut a piece of paper to measure 3 x 3 inches for each of the 5 bars, in 3 designs from the paper pack and simply wrapped them around the bar with the join on the back of each one.

I then made a little tray for them from Shaded Spruce card that measures 5 & 3/4 inches by 3 & 1/2 inches. I scored the short side at 1/4 inch and 3 & 1/4 inch. Next time I will use sticky dots to keep the wrapped bars in place on the tray – lessons learned, lol.

I put the tray into a cello bag and added a topper of more designer series paper that i cut to 4 & 1/8 inches by 3 inches, scored and folded at 1 & 1/2 inches on the short side. I stapled this to the top of my bag with green staples from my stationery stash!

I stamped the sentiment from the Greatest Part of Christmas stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink onto Whisper White card and cut it with my Timeless Label Punch. I cut another label from Shaded Spruce card, cut it in half and added the pieces to the ends of the stamped label. I added some Shaded Spruce and Gold striped ribbon and then added the label on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals…

My final touch was some Holiday Rhinestones for a bit of bling.

I think this is a decent alternative to the nuggets and in my humble opinion they taste so much better, lol.

I’ve listed the Stampin’ Up! products I’ve used below. If you’d like to purchase any of them you can click on the product links. I would love to be your chosen independent demonstrator.

Happy crafting,

Heather x
