Hello to you.
This card was so much fun to make and for once I didn’t get too messy, lol.
My top layer is watercolour paper that measures 13 x 9 cm. I sprayed it with water and then pressed one of my stamp blocks onto my Balmy Blue ink pad then smooshed it onto the middle of the watercolour paper. I then did the same with another block and my Pacific Point ink pad and added that at each end. I used an aqua painter to blend the two colours together. I set this aside to dry when I cut the other pieces for my card.
I used Very Vanilla card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm, for my card base. I added a layer of Night of Navy card measuring 10 x 14 cm and a layer of Very Vanilla card measuring 9.5 x 13.5 cm.
I used the Hand Lettered Prose dies with Night of Navy card to cut the letters for hello.
I stamped the sentiment from the Praiseworthy Prose stamp set with Night of Navy ink onto Very Vanilla card trimmed to fit and then backed with Pacific Point card.
I diluted some Frost White Shimmer paint with surgical spirits (also known as rubbing alcohol) in a Stampin’ Spritzer and then sprayed it over my watercolour paper to get this fabulous shimmer…
Once that was dry I added my letters and sentiment and a few pearls I coloured with my Night of Navy Dark Stampin’ Blend.
I will be sending this card out in the post tomorrow for #mailitmonday.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. I’ve listed the products used below. If you buy the dies and stamp set as a bundle you save 10% over the cost of buying them separately.
