InspireInk Blog Hop – Back to Basics

26 Oct

Hello! I’m delighted to be taking part in the InspireInk Blog Hop today. Once you’ve read about my card please click on the link to visit my crafty friends’ blogs – I can’t wait to see what they’ve created.

The theme for this month is Back to Basics and the rules are that we can only use 1 stamp set, 1 card colour, 1 ink pad and 1 die/punch. Thankfully we can also use a basic colour and I chose Whisper White, Soft Sea Foam ink & card, the beautiful Very Versailles stamp set and the Everyday Label punch.

I wanted to show that you can make a card with lots of elements even with basic supplies and this is what I created…

I made an A6 tent fold card base from Soft Sea Foam card and stamped the leaves from my stamp set in Soft Sea Foam ink to the right hand side.

I cut a piece of Whisper White card to measure 5 & 1/2 by 2 & 1/2 inches and stamped this with the script stamp and distressed it a little with Soft Sea Foam ink and a sponge dauber.

I cut another piece of Whisper White card to measure 3 & 4/8 by 1 & 3/4 inches, stamped it with the leaves and then backed this with another piece of Soft Sea Foam.

I stamped a piece of Soft Sea Foam card measuring 2 & 3/8 by 3 & 1/8 inches with another stamp from the set, using it full strength and second generation for extra detail.

I then stamped the sentiment and frame onto Whisper White card and cut it with the Everyday Label Stamp. I cut another label from Soft Sea Foam card and cut it in half to add to the ends of the stamped label.
