Hello.
On World Card Making Day I started playing with the absolutely adorable Let It Snow products and I’m hooked! You will be seeing lots of those cute snowmen starting with this shaker card…
Doesn’t he look he’s having so much fun in the snow? Here he is in motion…
I made my usual card base with a piece of Whisper White thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm.
I stamped the snowman from the Snowman Season stamp set using Memento ink. Then I coloured it with Stampin’ Write markers. I used Pumpkin Pie for the carrot nose, Poppy Parade for the hat, Soft Sea Foam on the little tree and Seaside Spray to add a bit of shading to the snowman’s body.
I cut a piece of Whisper White card to measure 10 x 14 cm and then cut it with a Stitched Rectangle die. I stamped the sentiment and snow in Seaside Spray ink. I then added a piece of Window Sheet to the back to cover the rectangle.
I then added Foam Adhesive Strip to the edges of the rectangle and to the outside edges of the card layer.
To assemble my card I placed the window layer face down on my grid sheet 0.25 cm in and up from the corner, added some Ice Stampin Glitter to the middle (keep it away from your foam adhesive strips!) and then place your card base on top, lining it up with the corner of your grid paper.
Alternatively you could add place your card base facing up, add the glitter and then place the window layer on top. I just find it easier to control the glitter using the above method.
I hope we don’t see any real snow for a while yet, but I’m having fun with the fake stuff in this card. I hope you like this card too.
