The past 2 days I’ve shared projects featuring daisies. Today there’s no daisy in sight but I have used the Daisy Lane stamp set for my sentiment…
I like the idea of making a little card like this to give to someone moving onto the next chapter of their lives and encouraging them to shine. How sweet would it be to slip this card into the bag of someone on their first day at college, university or a new job?
I used the Whisper White note cards & envelopes for my base. I then added a piece of Balmy Blue card that measures 4 &1/2 inches by 3 inches. I scored this layer at 1/2 inch and 1 inch on each side for an extra little detail.
To create the ombre effect I used sponge daubers to add ink to the Bokeh Dots stamp with Night of Navy, Seaside Spray and Balmy Blue ink pads. This was stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card and trimmed to size. I added this stamped card to a piece of Night Of Navy card measuring 3 & 1/2 inches by 2 & 1/4 inches.
The sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set. It was then cut with the Classic Label punch.
To add some extra sparkle I added some loops of Silver Metallic Thread and 3 rhinestones. The sentiment was added with Foam Adhesive tape.
