Hello.
Today’s card is made using the lovely little Magnolia Blooms stamp set that is featured in the Experience Creativity brochure. This set is only £13 and is aimed at beginner stampers.
I’ve previously made note cards with this set and the Magnolia Lane Cards & More set – click here if you missed it – and this time I wanted to step it up a bit…
I started with a piece of Petal Pink card that measures 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm to create a landscape tent fold.
I then added a piece of Magnolia Lane designer series paper measuring 10 x 14 cm. I chose one of the striped designs so as not to distract from the flowers.
The Magnolia Blooms stamp set has 2 floral stamps and I used the larger one for this card and stamped it twice. I stamped using Old Olive ink onto Whisper White card and used some Stampin’ Blends to add in a little bit of colour to the petals, the centre and leaves. I then fussy cut both flowers with my paper snips.
To create the extra leaves I used my Leaf punch with Old Olive vellum from the Perennial Essence vellum pack.
I used the Happy Birthday stamp from the Magnolia Blooms set with Petal Pink ink onto Whisper White card and cut it out with the Pretty Label punch. I cut an extra label from Petal Pink card, cut it in half lengthwise and glued it to the back of the stamped one.
I added the label, one of the flowers and the vellum leaves to the card with glue and then added the second flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals…
My final touch was to add some self adhesive Petal Pink sequins.
I hope you like this stepped up card using this simply beautiful stamp set. You can click on the product links below if you’d like to purchase any of the products I’ve used for today’s card.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
