This week the lovely Patricia Smith has given us this sketch to use for the challenge in her ‘Crafty Stamping Club – Smiths Crafty Creations’ Facebook group…
As I hadn’t used the lovely Rooted In Nature stamp set for a while I chose it for the main sentiment. I also hadn’t used any of the lovely Garden Lane designer series paper yet so I chose a design from that pack and here’s the result…
I love the combination of Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam in some of the designs from the pack so I chose them as my card and ink colours too.
I started with a piece of Very Vanilla card that measures 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm to create a portrait tent fold card.
I cut a piece of Mint Macaron card that measures 14 x 10 cm and a piece of the designer series paper (DSP) to measure 14 x 9 cm which I then split into panels that are 2 cm, 5 cm and 2 cm wide. This means that the pattern is split with 0.5 cm between the panels. The DSP was added to the Mint Macaron card which was added to the card base.
I stamped the Thinking Of You in Mint Macaron ink onto Very Vanilla card and cut it with a Layering Circle die. I used another die from the set on Soft Sea Foam card and glued them together then onto the card.
The finishing touch was to add 3 pearls.
I really like this card layout and may use it again soon.
