Hello and thanks for joining me.
Here in sunny Scotland it’s school holidays time and that means that I get to spend more time with my lovely niece and nephew. And as I’m not above bribing them with chocolate every now and then, I made these little chocolate treats to give them today…
I’m sure they’d rather have money these days (they’re not so little any more) but these will have to do, lol.
They are simple little boxes made with the oh so cute Dinoroar designer series paper. I got these 2 out of less than 1/2 a sheet of the paper and the little bars of chocolate come in a multipack of 9 so these could make up nice little kids party favours too.
I used a piece of paper that measures 5 & 1/2 inches by 5 inches for each one. On the longer side score at 1/2 inch, 1 & 1/4 inches and 4 & 3/4 inches. On the shorter side score at 1/2 inch, 2 inches, 2 & 3/4 inches and 4 & 1/4 inches.
Here’s your cutting guide…
Glue the left hand side tab to the back of the right hand side tab to form the box. Then glue the bottom tabs to form the closed base – fold in the side ones first, then the back and finally the front one.
Once you’ve done this, pop in your chocolate bar (mine were 29.3g ones) and close the top. You might notice I added a notch with a 1/2 inch punch to make it easier to open the box again. I then just wrapped the box with Silver Metallic Edge ribbon and tied that with some white baker’s twine to keep it closed.
I stamped the labels in Pretty Peacock and Lovely Lipstick inks onto Whisper White card and used the Tailored Tag and Pretty Label punches. I punched a 1/8th inch hole at the top and used more baker’s twine to add them to the boxes.
The stamp for the labels comes from the Delightful Day stamp set.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project and that the chocolate bribe will come in handy for me today.
I’ve listed the products used in today’s project below. You can click on any of the links to visit my friend Valeries’ Stampin’ Up! online shop if you’d like to buy any of them.
