Hello.
Yesterday I shared a floral card for a sketch challenge and I’m sticking with flowers for today’s post too. Specifically, Magnolia Blooms.
If you’ve seen the Stampin’ Up! 2019/2020 catalogue you’ll have noticed the magnificent Magnolia Lane suite (pages 36 to 39). But have you seen the Experience Creativity brochure? If not, click here to read it.
This brochure is designed with new paper crafters in mind and covers the basics to get you started. It features some Quick & Easy products and each collection has a supporting video too.
I’ve used the Magnolia Blooms stamp set from this brochure for today’s cards. This set is much smaller than the main Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and only costs £13 but contains 3 every day sentiments (Happy Birthday, Congratulations and Thank You), 2 floral images and a leaf one. So it’s a great place to start if you don’t want to invest in the larger set.
I’ve also used the Magnolia Lane Cards & More pack. This includes 10 blank white note cards that measure 4 & 1/4 by 3 & 1/4 inches when folded and envelopes to fit. It also includes 10 double sided printed cards to fit the note cards, that are ready for you to stamp like this…
For my versions I used Petal Pink, Pretty Peacock and Soft Sea Foam inks but the examples in the brochure use Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede. You can buy Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede mini ink pads as part of the beginners suggested set.
You’ll see that I used the smaller flower and leaf stamps to decorate my envelopes too. I also added some sequins to my cards for a little bit of bling!
Here’s the video from Stampin’ Up! for these products…
If you’re interested in learning to stamp your greetings cards then this a great place to start. Just let me know if you have any questions, I’d love to help.
If you want to buy any of the products I’ve featured today then please click on the products listed below. The first product listed is the whole collection featured in the video, so includes everything you’ll need to make 10 cards.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
