Hello and thanks for joining me. Today I have my version of a treat package using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch…
I’ve seen quite a few little boxes like this and don’t imagine that my version is new. However, it is quick and easy to make as the designer series paper acts like a belly band so can slip off easily to reveal the contents…
When I give friends these little gifts they often say they don’t want to open them as they don’t want to have to tie the package up again, as it never looks the same. With this one they won’t have to.
I used the fabulous Mosaic Mood speciality designer series paper as I love the glossy shine it has on some of the designs…
The main part of the box is made from a piece of Terracotta Tile card that measures 7 & 3/4 inches by 2 inches. This is scored on the long side at 3 & 1/2 inches and at 4 & 1/4 inches. Each end is cut with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch.
The wrapper is made from a piece of Mosaic Mood designer series paper that measures 6 & 1/4 inches by 2 inches, scored at 3/4 inch, 1 & 1/2 inches, 3 & 1/2 inches and 4 & 1/4 inches.
I used Polka Dot ribbon to tie the scalloped tag pieces together. The For You sentiment comes from the Wildly Happy stamp set and I stamped in Terracotta Tile ink onto Whisper White card. I used the classic label punch to cut this. The punch is too long for the stamped image so I punched it close to the left side of the words and then lined it back up in the punch to shorten it on the right side…
I then added this to the front with foam adhesive strip.
Having this little sentiment means you get to see more of that super shiny paper.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project. I’ve listed the products I’ve used below. You can click on the links to visit my friend Valerie’s online Stampin’ Up! store if you’d like to buy any of them.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
